Real Madrid Fancies Bulgarian Star Berbatov - Report The Spanish football club Real Madrid will bid to sign Manchester United's top scorer this season, Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, according to Italian pundits.
During the upcoming transfer window, Real will make a lucrative offer worth at least EUR 15 M to get its hands on the talented forward, the Italian Tuttomercato online edition has stated. The Bulgarian has a contract with United until 2012.
In the beginning of December, Emil Danchev, the player's agent, announced that Manchester United will most likely be the last team in the Bulgarian's career.
In 2008, Berbatov became Manchester United's most expensive purchase for GBP 30.75 M.
The Bulgarian has already hit the net 40 times in 106 matches for the team. He is the current top scorer in Premiership with 14 goals.
