Bulgarian-Led Trentino Wins Regular Season Again

Italy's Trentino BetClic, led by Bulgarian Radostin Stoychev and including two Bulgarian players, is on top of the charts again after wining the regular season in A1.
Trentino couldn’t have hoped for a better last home game as it swept Treviso 3:0 and secured top spot in the regular season. Thanks to this win, Trentino remained unbeaten at home in the league and became champions of the regular season for the third time.
“We showed strong character with this match. That was a real battle and I am glad that we won it because this is the best way to prepare for the Champions League and the playofss in the championship. We are already thinking about them,” the Bulgarian coach Radostin Stoychev commented.
“We did better than them in the crucial moments of the game, which were all in the second and third set. We won thanks to our character, and this is a lot more important than the three points we get out of it”, Osmany Juantorena said.
At the beginning of February the club won the only prestigious trophy they lacked – the Italian cup, after beating in the finals Cuneo 3:1.
Trentino has been big favorite of the Italian cup final being Champions league winners, World Cup winners and first team in ranking.
