BULGARIA JOINS NEWLY FORMED BALKAN HOTEL ALLIANCE

A Balkan Alliance of Hotel Associations has been established in Macedonia's Ohrid, the Bulgarian National Radio announced.
The alliance that will be seated in Ohrid was created with the active participation of the Bulgarian Union of Hotel Owners whose representative Blagoy Ragin was named first chairman of the organisation.
Ragin claimed that although the EU would help building infrastructure, the members of the alliance should first help themselves by emerging in the international markets together. He compared the tourist capacity of the Balkan region to that of France, and considered its inadequate use a pity.
Apart from Bulgaria and Macedonia, members of the newly founded alliance are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro. Turkey is expected to join and an invitation has also been extended to Croatia. |
