Sofia Sets up Credit Rating Agency

Bulgaria has inaugurated a credit rating agency of its own in a step to improve services to investors in the developing market here.
The National Credit Rating Agency (NACR) will prepare local and international credit ratings of companies, financial institutions and municipalities, its Executive Director Radoslav Stoyanov explained at a special press conference on Tuesday.
The state agency will engage also with credit surveys, sector analyses and assessment of specific debt issuances and projects.
NACR has signed an agreement of association with the Czech Credit Rating Agency (CRA), a leader in this business in Central and Eastern Europe, which is iutself is associated with Moody's Investor Service.
The credit rating establishment aims to conquer leading positions in the Bulgarian market and extend its services to neighbouring countries as well, the management representatives also said. |
